Virginia Nell Brown

Virginia Nell Brown, 90, Mt. Vernon, MO, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Mt. Vernon Place Care, Mt. Vernon, MO.  She was born Oct. 6, 1921, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Hervey Tupper and Flora Cossel Corn.  She was a World War II veteran, serving in a Women's Army Auxiliary Corps member of the United States Army.  She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the first christian Church.
     She was preceded in death by her former husband, Dave J. Brown; three children, Flora Marie Hall, George Tupper Brown and Rutha Della Brown; and three sisters, Mary Robinson, Della Webb and Matta Lou Harviston.
     Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Hamilton, Starkville, MS, four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
     Graveside services were March 24 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, AR under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.
