Mt. Vernon, MO City Cemetery S - Z

The Mount Vernon City Cemetery is located at the end of South McCanse Street in Mt. Vernon, MO. This cemetery is divided into 3 parts. The first part on the left hand side of the driveway is older graves with a large percentage of the deceased being buried before 1900.

The right hand side of the driveway has headstones from the early 1900's to the present. The area below the driveway is a mixed area where you will find headstone from both the early 1800's up until the present.

There are quite a few veterans graves in this cemetery, many of the vet's will have a personal headstone as well as a government plaque type grave marker.

Upon request I can take photos of any of the headstones and email them to you, however, there is a nominal fee for this service. Email request to banddfamilyenterprises@gmail.com.If you would like to add any information to this site you may contact me at the above email address.
