Marion Parker
Marion Parker, 63, Pierce City, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Monett Health Care Center.
He was born March 16, 1945, to Lewis and Louella Brace Parker.
He married Grace Edwards Aug. 21, 1965. She survives
Additional survivors include one daughter, Katherine Parker.
Cremation was under direction of Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City. Burial will be at a later date.
Mark Stephen Parrigon
Mark Stephen Parrigon, 54, Pierce City, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, following a long illness. He was born April 3, 1954, in Monett to Leo and Joyce (Williamns) Parrigon. He graduated from McAuley High School in 1973. After graduation, he worked at Hydro Aluminum, formerly Wells Aluminum, for 24 years, at both the Monett and Cassville plants. He worked the past 11 years at Schreibers Foods in Monett. Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Pease, Muskegon, Mich., and Kristi Hendrick, Pierce City; his parents, Joyce and Leo Parrigon, Pierce City; seven brothers, Larry Parrigon, Dale Parrigon, Neil Parrigon, Vincent Parrigon, Wendell Parrigon and Kevin Parrigon, all of Pierce City, and Tom Parrigon, Monett; three sisters, Maria Logan, Republic, Charlotte Sloan, Pierce City, and Melissa Ballay, Monett; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by one son, Brian. Funeral Mass was Monday, March 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pierce City. Graveside services were at St. Mary's Cemetery, under direction of Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City. Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice and to Hulston Cancer Center.
Wilhelmina "Auntie" Parrish
Wilhelmina “Auntie” Parrish, 93, Aurora, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, in Aurora Nursing Center.
She was born April 15, 1914, in Fairmont, Minn., to William Servaas and Theresa Ann (Hartwick) Huyser. She married Laudy A. Parris Nov. 14, 1936, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He died in 1966. She was a homemaker and one of the oldest members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary #628 in Sioux Falls. She was a member of the Sioux Falls First Christian Church.
She had resided in Aurora since 1980 with her sister, Kathleen Huyser, who died Dec. 17, 2003.
Survivors include one brother, William S. Huyser, Brookings, S.D.
Graveside services were Saturday, Aug. 11, in Spring River Cemetery, Verona, with the Rev. Kelly Johnson officiating, under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.
Donald Wayne "Don" Patterson
Donald Wayne "Don" Patterson, 91, Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, in the Missouri Veterans' Home/Mt. Vernon. He was born June 16, 1918, in Mt. Pulaski, Ill., to James R. and Mary Elizabeth Cowan Patterson. He graduated from Elkhart Community High School in Elkhart, Ill. He played semi-pro baseball.
He married Sylvia Carty in 1940 and moved to Red Top. He married Carolyn "Jo Morris in May 2000. She survives.
He served during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He established Patterson Floor Covering Service in Springfield in 1947, operating the business until 2003.
Survivors include three children, Gloria Ball and Shirley McCullough, both of Springfield, and Donald Dee Patterson, Harrison, Ark; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, April 20, in Rock Prairie Baptist Church, northeast of Pleasant Hope. Burial was in Rock Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Pleasant Hope, under direction of Greenlawn North, Springfield.

Nikolay V. Pavlov
Nikolay V. Pavlov, 77, Aurora, formerly of Salem, Ore., died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in his home.
He was born feb. 27, 1932, in Nadezda, Ukraine, to Vasiliy and Charitina (Stamslavsckaya) Pavlov.
He worked as a customs officer for the State of Ukraine. In 1994, the family moved to the United States, settling in Oregon, prior to moving to Aurora.
He married Zinaida Pavlova March 5, 1955, in Odessa, Ukraine. She survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Maria Antonuk, Aurora; three sons, Konstantin Pavlov, Fort Worth, Texas, Viktor Pavlov, Vancouver, Wash., and Alexander Pavlov, Salem, Ore.; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Sergay, three sisters, and one brother.
Services were Monday, May 4, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Aurora. Burial was in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.
Roy M. Pearcey
Roy M. Pearcey, 83, Stotts City, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at HCR Manor Care in Springfield.
He was born Jan. 29, 1926, in Galeton, Colo., to Roland and Helen (Bullard) Pearcey. He was a World War II Navy veteran and worked for the post office in Mt. Vernon.
He married Nell Rose Harrow Feb. 13, 1943, in Mt. Vernon. She survives. Additional survivors include one daughter, Elaine Harrelson, Mt. Vernon; two sons, Ronald Pearcey, Stotts City, and Donald Pearcey, Springfield; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Pearcey, and one brother, Lavern Pearcey.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Moore Cemetery, Stotts City, under direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon.
Memorial donations may be made to Moore Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
Linda K. Pendergrass
Linda K. Pendergrass, 66, Monett, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at her home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1943, in Aurora to Burness and Mildred (Miller) Mayfield. She married James Pendergrass Aug. 28, 1963, in Monett. He survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Burness Pendergrass, Dundee, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a beautician and owned a hair salon in Monett.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
Delmer Eugene Perriman
Delmer Eugene Perriman, 70, Aurora, a truck driver for Pet Milk Company, died Saturday, June 2, 2007.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
Margaret Ann Peterson
Margaret Ann Peterson, 64, Miller, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in her residence.
Margaret was born March 8, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Bert John and Elsie Margaret (Megnor) Peterson. She had a good, loving heart and always was smiling and saying, "I kiss you, Momma". She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her honorary family, Jean Erickson, Janet and Lorena Woodyard, Eric Erickson and family, Jeannie Moloian and family, and Walter and Betty Andrews and family, all of Miller; and Marcie, David, Jeffrie and Lacie Gulick, all of Mt. Vernon.
Her pearents preceded her in death.
No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Miller.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Chapel Church, Mt. Vernon, in care of the funeral home.
Joe Phillips
Joe Phillips, 90, Marionville, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville.
He was born June 3, 1917, in Berryville, Ark., to Charlie and Mary Phillips.
He was a retired machinist.
Survivors include two brothers, Don Phillips, Berryville, and Kenneth Phillips, Raytown; and two granddaughters.
Graveside services were Saturday, Sept. 22, in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under direction of Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Season's Hospice.
Ramona L. Pippin
Ramona L. Pippin, 47, Sarcoxie, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at St. John's Joplin, following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Joplin to Raymond and Florence (Maggard) Patrick.
She was a lifetime area resident and had worked for Jasper County Seed and Feed.
She married Danny Pippin Sept. 2, 1978, in LaRussell. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Brian Pippin, Miller, and Jermy Pippin, Sarcoxie; one daughter, Jennifer Holman, Carthage; her mother, Florence Evans, Ava; six brothers, Gene Patrick, Springfield, Jerry Patrick, Ava, Mike Patrick, Forsyth, Greg Patrick, Rutledge, Tenn., Russell Fenton, Reeds, and Clifford Walker, Joplin; one sister, Starla Masters, Ava; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Patrick, and one grandson.
Graveside services were Friday, Sept. 18, at the Taylor Cemetery, near Avilla. Pastor Larry Graham officiated, under direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie.
Geraldine (Gerry) Pohlman
Geraldine (Gerry) Pohlman, 70, Aurora, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, in her home.
Funeral Mass was Saturday, June 6, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Aurora, under direction of Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora. Burial was in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Boonville.
Elsie Maie Pojar
Elsie Maie Pojar, 82, Aurora, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, in the Aurora Nursing Center.
She was born July 16, 1925, in Norfolk, Neb., to Lloyd and Oma (Carico) Evans She married Leo H. Pojar July 24, 1947, in Norfolk. He preceded her in death. she worked for Consumer's Market bakery department in Springfield and later at the Hancock Fabric Store, also in Springfield. She lived in Aurora the past year and a half.
Survivors include three sons, Chuck Pojar, Aurora, and Phil and Terry Pojar, both of Springfield; three daughters, Susie Parschale and Donna Sothern, both of Springfield, and Nancy Highfill, Branson; two sisters, Pearl Stuthman, Las Vegas, and Peggy Flesner, Plainview, Neb.; one brother, Harry Evans, Iona; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Burial will be in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.
Mary "Ruth" Powell
Mary “Ruth” Powell, 79, Aurora, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, in her home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Republic to Russell and Bernice (Davis) Bassore.
She lived in the Aurora community most of her adult life. She and her husband, Donald, owned Powell’s Hilltop Market. She was a member of the Aurora Church of Christ.
She married Don Powell Oct. 27, 1956m in Harrison, Ark. He survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Cathy Kennedy, Aurora; two brothers, Bill Bassore, Springfield, and Don Bassore, Marionville; three sisters, Pat Neely, Mt. Vernon, Bobbie Pruente, Verona, and Sue Wise, Aurora; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Richardson.
Graveside services were Saturday, Aug. 11, in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.
Lena M. Pratt
Lena M. Pratt, 94, Aurora, formerly of Farmington, died at 10:05 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007, in the Aurora Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Farmington to Peter Paul and Edith (Karber) Burlbaw.
She was a 1930 graduate of Farmington High School. She was a homemaker, a member of the United Methodist Church, Farmington, and attended the Aurora United Methodist Church.
She married Luther Pratt July 30, 1938. He died June 1, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and George Burlbaw.
Survivors include two children, Jeanie Martin, Nixa, and Dr. Larry Pratt, Aurora; one sister, Olga Beck, Jefferson City; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, in Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Aurora Nursing Center-Entertainment Fund, in care of the funeral home.
Minnie B. Prescott
Minnie B. Prescott, 87, Miller, died at 9:28 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Mt. Vernon Place Care Center.
She was a merchant in the Miller community, operating Minnie's Flea Market for the past several years.
She was a member of New Home Baptist Church. She served as a delegate member of the Miller christian Center and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was born Nov. 15, 1921, to Jesse and Martha Armentrout.
Her only sibling, Roy Armentrout, preceded her in death. Shew as also preceded in death by four husbands, the last being Harold Prescott Sr., who died Jan. 30, 1990.
Survivors include several stepchildren.
Graveside services were Friday May 22, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, with Pastor Wally Baldwin officiating, under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home-North, Springfield.
Mildred Prevo
Milderd Prevo, 98, Aurora, Aurora, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville.
She was born Sept. 30, 1910, in Pleasant Ridge to George and Bertha Hogle Pennel. She was a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert; and three brothers, Noah Calton, Earl Pennel and Alvin Pennel.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis Prevo and David Prevo, both of Aurora, and Larry Prevo, Pleasant Ridge; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calton Cemetery. Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora, is handling arrangemetns.
Jayson Francis Price
Jayson Francis Price, infant son of Jeremy Price and Sarah Merritt, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. He was born Dec. 9, 2008 in Aurora.
Survivors include his parents, Jeremy Price, Aurora, and Sarah Merritt, Pensacola; paternal grandparents, Archie and Becky Price, Battlefield; maternal grandmother, Barbara Roberts, Springfield; step-maternal grandmother, Kim Roberts, Pensacola; and paternal great-grandparents, Loyd and Wilma "Sue" Morris, Aurora. His maternal grandfather, Randy Roberts, preceded him in death.
Services were Tuesday, May 26, at Crafton-Canrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Burial was in Mars Hill Cemetery.
Major Helen L. Prosser
Major Helen L. Prosser, 86, Marionville, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday, July 22, 2007.
She was born in Terre Haute, Ind., to Ralph and Sara Prosser.
She moved to Springfield after high school and worked in The Salvation Army office as secretary and family welfare services.
In 1949, she entered The Salvation Army College and was commissioned probationary lieutenant, in October 1951, she was sent to the Howard Institute in Salisbury, Rhodesia, where she spent 12 years.
She later spent five years in Hong Kong as financial secretary and had several other appointments, including hospital administrator. She retired to Florida in 1983 and later moved to Springfield, then to the Ozarks Methodist Manor, where she lived the past five years.
She was preceded in death by five sisters. Survivors include one brother, the Rev. Ralph Prosser, and one sister, Jessie Lane.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at The Salvation Army, Springfield, with Major Norman Grainger officiating.

Mary Viola Pruitt
Mary Viola Pruitt, 64, Aurora, died at 10:47 a.m. Thursday, Jan 19, 2007, at St. John’s, Aurora.
She was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Anthony and Isabelle (Trimborn) Merz.
She worked as a cook for what was formerly the Tin Lizzie Restaurant in Mt. Vernon and was a member of the Baptist Temple Church, Aurora. She also recently joined the Red Hat Society.
She married Floyd Pruitt Nov. 1, 1980, in California. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Bill Longeran, Olathe, Kan., James Longeran, Aurora; one stepson, Damon Pruitt; San Diego, Calif.; four brothers, Richard Merz, Wisconsin, Robert Merz, Arizona, Leonard Merz, Washington, Tony Merz, New Mexico; and one sister, Jeanette Repetowski, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services were Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, with burial in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Temple, in care of the funeral home.
Marie Elizabeth Neimeyer-Pryor
Marie Elizabeth Neimeyer-Pryor, 91, Marionville, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville. She was born July 8, 1917, in Lawrence County to John J. and Matilda (Tetenhorst) Browning. She and her husband, the late Ralph Leon Neimeyer, owned and operated the Hoberg General Store in Hoberg for 21 years. She was a member of the Marionville United Methodist Church. She married Ralph Neimeyer July 13, 1941. He died July 5, 1993. She married Luther Pryor Nov. 10, 1994. He died Nov. 22, 2003. Survivors include one son, Phillip Neimeyer, Fontana, Wis., two brothers, J.D. Browning and Orlin Browning, and one sister, Madge Burch, all of Aurora; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Viola Black. Services were Saturday, April 25, at the United Methodist Church, Marionville, with the Rev. Phillip Neimeyer officiating. Burial was in Spring River Cemetery, Verona, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of the Ozarks Methodist Manor, in care of the funeral home.
Carolyn Pullen
Carolyn Pullen, 56, Aurora, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in her home. She was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Maryville to Marion and Ellen Stanley Matheny. Survivors include three sons, Mike Glass, Cory Pullen and Roy Pullen; one daughter, Cathy Meek; two brothers, Lonnie Matheny and Johnny Matheny; and one sister, Connie Warner. No services are planned. Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora.

Lucille E. Quade
Lucille E. Quade, 76, Verona, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Mt. Vernon Place Care Center, Mt. Vernon.
She was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Lawrence County to Henry and Gertrude Wilken Tiesel.
She married Ferdinand Quade Nov. 16, 1957. He died in April 1999.
She was a past member of the Lions Club and worked with the Braille Club.
Survivors include one son, Tony Quade, Carthage; one daughter, Susan Arnold, Thayer; one stepson, Steven Quade, Mt. Vernon; one stepdaughter, Ilene “Gipson” Keutmann, Concord, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
Services were Thursday, Feb. 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistatt, under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Braille Workers.
Elizabeth Laverne Queen
Elizabeth Laverne Queen, 83, Aurora, died at 9:03 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Cox South, Springfield.
She was born July 20, 1926, in Aurora to Frank and Rilda (Boyer) Arnwine. She was a 1944 graduate of Aurora High School and a member of the Aurora Baptist Temple. She was a homemaker and helped with the Southeast Aurora voting precinct for more than 30 years. She also assisted her husband, Adrian Queen, in his concrete and construction company.
She married Adrian Queen in August 1944. He died Nov. 10, 2009.
Survivors include one son, Franklin Lee Queen, Port Charlotte, Fla., and six grandsons.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Arnwine.
Services were Monday, Jan. 25, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Burial was in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
