Kathryn Ruth Misemer Golding - Obituary

Kathryn Ruth Misemer Golding, 82, Marionville, formerly of Aurora, MO, died Monday, April 2, 2012, in Kansas City.  she was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Miller to Charles and Nanna Misemer.  She married James Henry Golding, June 1, 1948, at her family's farm in Miller.  He died in 2004.
     She graduated magna cum laude from Missouri State University.  When Jim was recalled to the Marine Corps during the Korean War they moved to Camp Pendleton, CA.  In 1954, they moved to Pierce City, MO where Jim and Kay taught school.  In 1960, they moved to Aurora, MP.  she had an accounting and bookkeeping business until her retirement.
     She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and on the board of the Christian Service Center in Aurora.
     In 1997, the couple moved to the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville.
     Survivors include one son, Joe Keith Golding, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one daughter, Nancy Golding Daughtery, Liberty; one brother, Keith Misemer, Minneapolis, Minn; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
     Memorial services were April 14 in the Aurora United Methodist Church, Aurora.  She will be in urned in the Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, at a later date.
     Memorial donations may be made to the Aurora United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
