June Hagler
Our dear friend June went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, after a long battle with heart disease.
She was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Branson to Richard and Myrtle Michel, where she grew up on the banks of Taneycomo.
She and my father, Grady Hagler, met and married in Branson on Dec. 24, 1956. They traveled and lived many places while my father was in the service. They spent many years in Overland Park, Kan. My mother worked as a customer service representative for Hallmark Cards and my father owned his barber shop. They finally settled here in Mt. Vernon, where they worked together for years in the American Family Insurance Office.
She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, and excellent mother, an extraordinary gma and friend to all.
My mother is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Michel.
Her survivors include my father, Grady Hagler of the home; one daughter, Diana Williamson and her husband, David, of Mt. Vernon; one son, Judd Hagler of Bossier City, La.; one sister, Edna Murphy of St. Louis; and one brother, Van Michel and wife, Charolette. She was blessed with five grandchildren who loved her.
I would like to invite firends and family to a celebration of her life from 1 to 4 in the afternoon Saturday, Dec. 12, very casual and come and go as you wish at the Ozark Prairie "Brick" Presbyterian Church, northwest of Mt. Vernon.
