Arthur "Art" Maloney, Jr.
Arthur "Art" Maloney Jr., 79, Monett, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home in Monett. He was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Eagle Rock to Arthur and Hattie (Farrington) Maloney. He married Edith (Edie) Still April 15, 1952, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She survives. He was retired from EFCO Corporation in Monett and was a member of the Monett General Baptist Church. Additional survivors include two sons, Arthur William Maloney, Blue Springs, and Stephen Ray Maloney, Aurora; three brothers, Lloyd Maloney, Liberty, and Albert and Shorty Maloney, both of Cassville; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by one grandson. Services were Thursday, April 30, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, with the Rev. Doyle Russell officiating.
Esther M. Manes
Esther M. Manes, 96, Aurora, died at 5:34 a.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Magnolia Square Nursing Home, Springfield. She was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Lead Hill, Ark., to Lonnie and Ola (Brown) Ellison. She worked at Anderson Garment Factory and was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She married William A. "Bill" Manes Jan, 18, 1934, in Springfield. He died Oct. 23, 1987. Survivors include two sons, Knial Manes and Neil Manes, both of Springfield; one brother, Woodrow; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday;, June 10, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, north of Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1965 Cardinal Lane, Aurora, MO 65605.
James H. Maples
James H. Maples, 82, Aurora, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, in St. John's Springfield. He was born July 22, 1927, to, Efton and Myrtle Lawrence Maples. He was a retired farmer, a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the First Baptist Church, Aurora. He married Anna Mae Davis May 27, 1953. She survives. Additonal survivors include two sons, Steve Maples and Gary Maples, both of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Annette Slade, Overland Park, Kan., and Deborah Caton, Cole Camp; four brothers, Robert Maples, Nisswa, Minn., Tommy Maples and Dewey Maples, both of Crane, and Keith Maples of Camas, Wash.; one sister, Mary Powell, Leawood, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildern. Services were Saturday, May 1, in the First Baptist Church, Aurora. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under direction of Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
James O. Maples
James O. Maples, 87,passed away at 11:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in his residence. James was born March 30, 1920, in Brown Springs to William and Mae (Ash) Maples. He was a World War II Army veteran, a farmer and a charter member of the Wilson Avenue Baptist Church of Aurora. On Sept. 7, 1946, he was united in marriage to Hazel Lawrence i Aurora. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include four daughters, Helen Woods and husband Sonny, and Linda Starbuck, all of Marionville, Betty Powers and husband Mick, and Donna Howlett and husband Tom, all of Aurora; one son, Orvil Maples and wife Vickey, Aurora; one brother, Limon Maples, Aurora; one sister, Bessie Watkins, Aurora; 12 grandchildren, Brian Woods, Debra Terry, Shelly Phillips, Stanley Ray Newberry, Jim Powers, Robby Powers, Amy Butler, Kim Hammonds, J.J. Howlett, Erica Maples, Cassidy Maples and Mikayla Maples. 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents, one grandson, Bradley Newberry, one brother, the Rev. Stevie Maples, one sister, Lula Maples, and one son-in-law, Carl Starbuck, preceded him in death. Funeral services, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, were Tuesday, Dec. 18, in Wilson Avenue Baptist Church, Aurora, with the Rev. Lee parsons officiating. Bobby Gene (Bob) Marsh
Bobby Gene (Bob) Marsh, 81, Marionville, died at 9:48 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in St. John's Springfield. He was born April 6, 1928, to Allen and Eva Marsh. He was preceded in death by his wife, June; and two sons, Ted Allen Marsh and Kevin Douglas Marsh. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly West, Plattsburg; two sons, Robert Marsh, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jay Marsh, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Barbara Blevins, Springfield; and eight grandchildren. Graveside services, with military honors, were Monday, Sept. 14, in the Marionville IOOF Cemetery, under direction of Williams Funeral Home, Marionville.
Mary Junius "June" Plank Marsh
Mary Junius "June" Plank Marsh, 72, Marionville, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, in her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Springfield to Junius Raymond and Wilma Jean Buley Plank. She was a medical clerk. She married Bob Gene Marsh Feb 20, 1989, in Corpus Christi, Texas. They have made their home in Marionville for nine years. He survives. She was preceded in death by one son, Ted Allen Marsh, June 12, 2004. Additional survivors include two sons, Robert Marsh, Corpus Christi, and Jay Marsh, Oklahoma City, Okla; one daughter Kimberly Anne West, Plattsburg; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were Tuesday, July 3, in the Marionville IOOF Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Miller officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Williams Funeral Home, Marionville.
Violet "VI" Nichols Marsh
Violet "VI" Nichols Marsh, 94, Aurora, died at 10:09 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at St. John's, Springfield. She was born April 17, 1915, in Springfield to Franklin Ell and Tinnie Bell (Humes) Nichols. She graduated from Springfield Senior High School and owned and operated Vi's Beauty Shop in Springfield, prior to moving to Aurora, where she worked at St. John's Aurora, in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Central Assembly of God Church. Survivors include one daughter, Jessie Walton-Barnett, Billings; one stepdaughter, Barbara Marsh-Blevins, Springfield; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Truman Walton; her second husband, Allen Marsh; one daughter, Wilma Walton-Unger; sister Fay Bumgarner; and eight other brother and sisters. Graveside services were Friday, Dec. 4, at Salem Cemetery, northwest of Mt. Vernon, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Memorial donations may be made ot Salem Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
Lonnie Eugene Marshall
Lonnie Eugene Marshall, 68, Monett, died Monday, May 11, 2009, at Monett Health Care Center. He was born July 1, 1940, in Cassvile to Christopher Joseph and Ruby Emmaline Turner Marshall. He was retired from Schreiber Foods in Monett and attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Marionville. He married Doris L. Geren March 25, 1985, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She survives. Additional survivors include oe daughter, Crystal Willyard, Cassville; two stepdaughters, Charlotte Oglesby, rove, Okla., and Donna Henson, Kansas City; one sister, Mary Currant, Wentzville; one stepbrother, Philip Melahn, Independence; one granddaughter; two step grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, two half-brothers and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one sister, two half-brothers and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were Thursday, May 14, at Marionville IOOF Cemetery, with Pastor Duncan Cline officiating, under direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. Doug Martin


Doug Martin, 67, Aurora, died Friday, April 13, 2007 in his home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1939, to Blaine and Dorothy Kenny Martin. He worked for Silver Dollar City as a furniture maker.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta; three sons, Doug Martin Jr., and Robert Martin both of Green Forest, Ark., and Jimmy Martin, Ozark; two daughters, Ruby Lay, McMinnville, Ore., and Sophia Pursley, Kansas City; one brother, Lee Martin Springfield; two sisters, Cindy Culbertson, Springfield, and Sylvia Maxwell, Idaho; 28 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were Wednesday, April 18, in Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora. Burial was in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.


Frances Addeline Martin
Frances Addeline Martin, 96, Verona, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, in her home. She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Cold Springs to Robert and Irene (Barnard) Nall. She married Kenneth J. Martin in Raton, N.M., Feb. 3, 1936. He died Feb. 12, 2000. Survivors include three daughters, Donna Jo Dalley, Cleburne, Texas, Dixie Walsh, Trinidad, Colo., and Janet Heatherly, McDowell; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and 44 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Francis Kenneth Martin and Robert Martin; two brothers, Ronald Nall and Hugh Nall; five sisters, Bessie Hayden, Ruth Schoor, Lorena Spencer, Maybell Honey and Josephine Williamson; two grandaughters, and one great-grandson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Services were Monday, Feb. 1, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett. Burial was in Calton Cemetery, McDowell.
Johnnie H. Martin



Johnnie H. Martin, 87, Everton, died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in St. John’s Springfield.
She was born July 30, 1919, in Clear Lake, La., to John Henry and Lillie Lee (Tyson) Lynch. She was a retired licensed practical nurse for the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, Mt. Vernon, attended the Paris Springs Methodist Church, and was a member of the Miller First Baptist Church.
She married Loyd Edwin Martin in Epps., La., Oct. 30, 1937. He died June 26, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Edwina Bradley, Everton, and Ann Faucett, Mt. Vernon; two sons, Billy Martin, West Monroe, La. and James Martin, Suffield, Ohio, one sister, Mearle Harris, Vidalia, La.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter Janice Fullerton; four brothers, Nathan, Snooks, LaFaye and Charles Lynch; one sister, Ebby Hobby; and one grandson.
Services were Saturday, March 31, in Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Miller, with the Revs. Hal Bassett and Hugo Lewis officiating. Burial was in Miller Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Missouri or American Cancer Society.

Wilma Jean Mathis
Wilma Jean Mathis, age 74, Aurora, died Sunday, March 29, 2009. She was born May 27, 1934, in Bois D'Arc to Herbert Robertson and Ruth Mason. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Springfield. Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Jean Heitman, St. Louis; one brother, John Mason, Mt. Vernon; one sister, Marjorie Jones, Kansas City; and two grandchildren. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, in care of Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3506 North National, Springfield, MO 65803.
Virgil Charles Mattlage
Virgil Charles Mattlage, 82, Pierce City, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at the Missouri Veterans' Home/Mt. Vernon. He was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Pierce City to Arthur and Julie Doss Mattlage. He married Vera Marie Lampe Mattlage Oct. 23, 1949, in Freistatt. She died Nov. 18, 1993. He was a farmer and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistatt. Survivors include one son, Terry Mattlage, Pierce City; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by one sister. Services were Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Wilbur Claude officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, under direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Home Fund.
Barbara Ann Borucki Maupin

Barbara Ann Borucki Maupin, 66, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at St. John’s Springfield, after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
She was born March 4, 1942 to Robert A. Borucki and Delma Daniels in St. Louis. Barbara married the love of her life, Donald Robert Maupin Sr. Sept 8, 1962, in Doniphan.
Barbara graduated from Ursaline Academy, Arcadia, in 1959 and continued her education at St. Louis University, where she completed raining to be a medical technologist. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. She taught junior high and high school science at Couch and Billings. She worked as a medical technologist for 33 years at Smith-Glynn -Callaway Clinic until she retired last March. She was a member of St. Susanne’s Catholic Church, Mt. Vernon.
Barbara was a member of several sewing and quilting clubs, served as a member of the Lawrence County Board for the Developmentally Disabled, and a member of the Lawrence County Democratic Central Committee. She was a past member of St. Susanne’s Parish Council and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed teaching others to quilt and spent many hours in her garden. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing her favorite books with others. She was a caring person who gave much to all who loved her and even to those she didn't know. Barbara was always the person to call when seeking information or advice. She was blessed to have many friends and co-workers.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years, Don, Halltown; one daughter, Deborah Garner and husband Rick; her grandchildren, Aaron and Elizabeth Garner, Mt. Vernon; and one son, Donald Robert Maupin Jr. and his friend, Linda Gaytan, and her child, Amanda, Halltown. Barbara was the oldest of eight sisters and one brother and two infant siblings who died at birth. Her surviving siblings are Shirley DeLashmit of Springfield, Sarah Wymore of Pevely, Doris Ormsby of O’Fallon, Phyllis Featherston of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kathy Walter of St. James, Danny Enxz of Springfield, Rose Straughn of Lee’s Summit, and MaryAnn Ensz-Bell of Doniphan. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and friends. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at St. Susanne’s Catholic Church, Mt. Vernon, followed by burial in Rock Prairie Cemetery, Halltown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Susanne’s Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home.

Ashtin Kay Ann Maxwell, infant daughter of Ashley K. Bozman and Hastin Maxwell, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, in Cox South, Springfield. Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents Andy and Mary Bozman, maternal great-grandfather David Bozman, and paternal great-grandmother Wanda Mosby, all of Marionville; and maternal great-grandmother Marcella Martinez, Galena. Graveside services were Sunday, Aug. 2, in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, with the Rev. Billy Merritt officiating, under direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
Ernest Lee Maxwell
Ernest Lee Maxwell, 52, Marionville, died Monday evening, Aug. 13, 2007, in Marionville. He was born March 27, 1955, in Springfield to Jerry Roy Sr. and Wanda Lea (Rohlman) Maxwell. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, John. Survivors include his mother, Wanda Mosby, Marionville; five sisters, Sandra Kay Wallace, JoAnn Forester, Mary Ethel Maxwell and Cynthia Sue Able, all of Marionville, and Sheryl Lynn Mosby, Aurora; and one brother, Jerry Roy Maxwell Jr., Republic. Graveside services were Friday, Aug. 17, at Nolan Cemetery, Galena, with the Rev. Rex Mooneyham officiating, under direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic.
Leslie Leroy McCoig
Leslie Leroy McCoig, 78, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville. He was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Stoneham, Colo., to Elias and Minnie (McCloud) McCoig. He retired from the Army as a master sergeant, serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Surviving from his immediate family is a sister, Louise Parker, Indianapolis, Ind. Two brothers, Olden and Dewey McCoig, preceded him in death. A sister-in-law, Ruby McCoig, resides in Aurora. Mr. McCoig donated his body to science. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor. Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, is handling arrangements.
Janice Joy McCrary
Janice Joy McCrary, 68, Miller, formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009, at her home. She was born April 13, 1940, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Frank and Ru`by (Campbell) Hill. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith. She married Kenneth W. McCrary Sr. June 7, 1958, in Storm Lake. He survives. Additional survivors include one son, Kenneth W. McCrary Jr., Miller; one brother, Harold Hill, Mt. Vernon; one sister, Donna Robson, Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dale and Kenneth Hill; and one sister, Rosemary Maple. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in Miller Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Nichols officiating, under direction of Morris-Leiman-Mosher funeral Home, Miller.
Michael Anthony McGlocklin

Michael Anthony McGlocklin, 27, Miller, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, from complications of surgery.
He was born Nov. 8, 1981, in Frankfurt Germany, to Andy and Carolyn McGlocklin.
He was an IT professional at Jack Henry and Associates, Monett.
He married Ashley Rose March 29, 2008, at Round Grove Baptist Church, Miller, She survives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Forner.
Additional survivors include his father and stepmother, Andy and Gerda McGlocklin, Oronogo; stepfather Ken Forner; one brother; Chris Colvin, Hawaii, two sisters, Kimberly and Britney; paternal grandmother Betty Davis, Oronogo; father - and mother-in-law Rick and Joni rose; sister-in-law Megan Rose; grandparents-in-law Elveda and the late Dwain Rose, all of Miller; and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb, 26, at Round Grove Baptist Church, northwest of Miller.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Humane Society.

David Leroy McGlothlin

David Leroy McGlothlin, 41, Aurora, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in his home after a sudden illness.
He was born Jan. 31, 1966, in Aurora to Leroy and Frances (Cantrell) McGlothlin.
He married Susan Maples May 19, 1989, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She survives.
He was an excavating contractor and farmer. He was a member of Elm Branch Christian Church.
Additional survivors include two sons, Austin McGlothlin, of the home, and Nathan Marks, Mt. Vernon; his father, Leroy McGlothlin, Aurora; his mother and stepfather, Frances and Tom Grant, Aurora; two sisters, Connie Ferguson, Casa Grande, Ariz., and Jackie Hamm, Aurora; and one grandson.
Graveside services were Saturday, March 24, in Mt. Olive Cemetery, McKinley, with David Martin officiating, under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.
Donations may be made to the Missouri Junior Rodeo Circuit, in care of the Funeral Home.

Terry Lee McIntosh
Terry Lee McIntosh, 58, Aurora, died Monday, March 16, 2009. He was born April 17, 1950, in Torrence, Calif., to Frank and Betty Jo (Ruggles) McIntosh. They preceded him in death. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from Tyson foods in Monett. Survivors include four children, Danny McIntosh, Clever, Scott McIntosh, Galena, and Kevin McIntosh and Patty McIntosh, both of Aurora; five brothers, Joe McIntosh, Independence, Ore., Tom McIntosh, San Jose, Calif., Tim McIntosh, Sun City West, Ariz., Tracy McIntosh, San Jose, Calif., and Tammy McIntosh, Shiner, Texas; and three grandchildren. Services were Saturday, March 21, in Manlove-Stumpff Chapel, Crane, with Randall Daum officiating. Burial was in Harrington Cemetery, Republic. Betty Ann McKee
Betty Ann McKee, 91, Aurora, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Aurora Nursing Center, Aurora. She was born April 4, 1918, in Rhinelander, Wis.; to August and Martha (Paatz) Seidal. She graduated from Rhinelander High School and received her teaching certificate from the Normal School for Teaching in Rhinelander. She was a teacher for public schools in communities in Wisconsin and Illinois. She worked as a secretary for Warren's Turf Farm in northern Illinois prior to retiring to Aurora in 1976. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Aurora and was active in the Lutheran Women's Group. She married Richard L. McKee in Enterprise, Wis., Dec. 25, 1938. He died Dec. 8, 1992. Survivors include one son Robert McKee; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Altman and Ethel Engemann; and one brother, Erwin Seidel. Graveside services were Friday, April 2, at Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Memborial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.

Marvin McManis, 88, Marionville, died Friday, March 27, 2009, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville. He was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Jerico Springs to Charles and Cora McLeod McManis. He was a United States Army Veteran. No services are planned. Arrangements are under direction of Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora.
Amanda Sue "Mandi" McNiel
Amanda Sue "Mandi" McNiel, 69, Aruroa, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2010, at the Benchmark Healthcare, Monett, following a lengthy illness.  She was born June 1, 1941, in Picher, Okla., to Walter Thomas and Ida Mae (McDonald) Wolfinbarger. She attended school in Picher.  She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Miami, Okla., and Monett.
     Survivors include nine children, Walter Ellison, Chris Horton, Charlie Murphy and Steve Ellison, all of Miami, Okla., Bob Ellison, Rogers, Ark., Randy Ellison, Abrams, Wis., Fritze Mae Roberson and Mandy Horton, both of Claremore, Okla., and Bryan Murphy, Aurora; four sisters, Dody Ray, Aurora, Patsy Pope, Monett, Trella Franlin, Miami, and Debbie Waddell, south Carolina; one brother, Hugh Eddie Franklin, Modesto, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
     Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the VFW Post #4207 in Monett.  Graveside committal of ashes will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the GAR Cemetery in Miami.
Darren James Mead

Darren James Mead, 7, Aurora, formerly of Everton, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in Polk County from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
He was born Oct. 27, 2001, in Springfield to Adam and Tiffany (Brandenburg) Mead. the family moved to Aurora two years ago. He was in the first grade at Pate Early Elementary School, Aurora.
Survivors include his parents, one brother, Derek Joseph Mead, and one sister, Katelyn Renae Mead, all of the home; paternal grandparents Joe and Janice Mead, and paternal great-grandparents Don and Mary Mead, all of Everton; paternal great-grandmother Helen Cook, Greenfield; and maternal grandparents Joe and Janice Mead, and paternal great-grandparents Johnny and Pam Brandenburg and maternal great-grandmother Ileane Baucam, all of Springfield.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Feb. 3, in Antioch Cemetery, west of Everton, with the Rev. Tom Geer officiating, under direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove.

Eva Fern Meadows
Eva Fern Meadows, 93, Aurora, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Aurora Nursing Center. She was born June 17, 1916, in Bluff to Richard and Mae Bell (Dewitt) Meadows. She was a 1933 graduate of Forsyth High School and received her teaching certificate from Southwest Missouri State Teachers College. She taught for the Meadows School in Walnut Shade on Bull Creek in Taney County. After teaching she also worked as a secretary, a hairdresser and as a domestic assistant for a family in Kansas City for many years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clysta Cleo Haskett and Lena Chole Glover. She is survived by nieces and a nephew. Doris E. Means
Doris E. Means, 76, Aurora, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in St. John's Aurora. She was born July 5, 1931, in Aurora to Henry "Stewart" and Bernice (Moore) Bellis. Doris was a 1949 Aurora High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of the Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church. On Nov. 17, 1951, she married Homer Means in Aurora. He preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1996. Her parents also preceded her in death. Survivors include four children, Donna Long and husband Rick, Brabara McKee and husband David, Mike Means and wife Tiffany, all of Aurora, and Janey Hood and husband David, Mt. Vernon; one brother, Dale Bellis and wife Dorothy; sister Avanell Jones and husband Minford, all of Aurora; sister, Joyce Clark and husband Tom, Spring, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services, under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, were Saturday, July 28, in Orange Church, with burial in the Orange Cemetery. Earl Howard Meltabarger
Earl Howard Meltabarger, 77, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, in his home. He was born May 6, 1932, in Springfield to James Newton and Zora Bryant Meltabarger. He graduated from high school in Springfield and was a photographer. He did offset camera work for Williams Pipe Line. He was a United States Army veteran. He married LaWanda Sue Deckard May 28, 1953, in Springfield. She survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Additional survivors include one son, James Howard "Jim" Meltabarger, Marionville; and two granddaughters. Services were Saturday, June 13, in Williams Funeral Home, Marionville, with Chaplain Buddy Horn officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, McKinley.
Mary Alice Paris Mee
Mary Alice Paris Mee, 84, Stotts City, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at her home in Stotts City. She was a homemaker. She was born Nov. 24, 1924, in Zineville, Okla., to Vincent and Eldon (Henton) Paris. Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by one son, Sean Christopher Mee, in 2005. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ann Tabaj, Watsonville, Calif., and Margret Mary Latham, Clearlake Park, Calif.; three sons, Mike Patrick Mee, Kevin Paris Mee and Terrnence James Mee, all of Stotts City; and two grandchildren. Raymond Earl Merritt
Raymond Earl Merritt, 62, Verona, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 1, 1947, in Kansas City to Raymond and JoAnna (Pulhamus) Merritt. He married Sue Ann Easterday June 20, 1992. She survives. He was a truck and auto frame straightener. Additional survivors include one stepdaughter,Tara Rae Rawlings, Verona; one brother, Larry Merritt, Monett; and two sisters, Christine VanDyke, Roeland Park, Kan., and Karen Menges, Mound City, Kan. Linda Lou Meyer
Linda Lou Meyer, 58, Aurora, died at 4:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at her home. She was born Nov. 17, 1951, in Monett to Elmer W. and Juanita P. (Steven) Tennison. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. Those surviving her include four daughters, Cindy Barnett, Melanie Huffman and Juanita Lane of Galena, Kan., and Felicia Poindexter of Aurora; a son, Kevin Poindexter of Aurora; a brother, Eddie Tennison of Aurora; five sisters, Delores Scott, Sandy Cooper, Marilyn Boyd and Carol Harold, all of Aurora, and Juanita Mackey of Marionville; and her ex-husband, Brian Meyer of Aurora. Her parents and one brother, Larry Tennison, preceded her in death. Services were Thursday, Feb. 18, at Crafton-Cantrell Fuernal Home, Aurora, with burial in the Maple Park Cemetery. Jane Miller
Jane Ann Miller, 68, Aurora, died Saturday morning, June 20, 2009, at her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1941, in Grand Forks, N.D. She lived in the Aurora community most of her life. She married Dennis Miller June 4, 1959. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Church at Sioux Falls, S.D. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; one son, Jeffrey L. Miller, Verona; one daughter, Dawn Miller-Neill, Aurora; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the Spring River Cemetery, Verona, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, with Kelly Johnson officiating. Robert E. "Bob" Miller
Robert E. “Bob” Miller, 76, Aurora, died at 10a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007, in the Aurora Nursing Center. He was born Sept. 6, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to Sylvester and Rose (Mulkerns) Miller. He married Nadine Myerscaugh Oct. 26, 1974, in Mt. Vernon. She died July 9, 2001.
He was a United States Army veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Billings.
Funeral mass was Tuesday, March 30, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Billings, with the Rev. Pat Teter officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.

Terry Lee Miller
Terry Lee Miller, 63, Aurora, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in St. John's Springfield, after a two-year battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 5, 1946, in Greenfield, to Leroy and Mary Helen Miller. He grew up in South Greenfield and was a 1964 graduate of Greenfield High School. He received an MBA from Missouri State University, Springfield, in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one brother, Alan, and two sisters, Janie Miller and Linda VanderWaal, all of Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield. Imogene H. Misemer
Imogene H. Misemer, 83, formerly of Halltown, passed away at 12:42 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at the Christian Health Care Center of Republic. She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Henry and Mabel (Bader) Eutsler. On Dec. 16, 1942, she married Dale D. Misemer in Ash Grove. He preceded her in death July 3, 2008. Imogene worked as a cook for more than 35 years at the Mickey Owen Baseball Camp in Miller and was a member of the Paris Springs United Methodist Church. Those surviving include one daughter, Glenda Jones and her husband, Darrell, of Halltown; one granddaughter, Kim Lombardo and her husband, Mark, of Springfield; four great-grandchildren, Blake Dowdy, and Breanne, Megan and Madison Dale Lombardo; two brothers, Bob Eutsler and his wife, Dorothy, of Halltown; and Harry Eutsler and his wife, Pearl of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, one granddaughter, Cynthia Earls, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services, under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, were Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the funeral home chapel. Bailey Renee Mitchell
Bailey Renee Mitchell, 18, Marionville, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008. She was born July 22, 1990, in Liberal, Kan., to Jeff and Diana (Wilson) Mitchell. She was a longtime resident of the area and a member of Buck Prairie Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one grandparent. Survivors include her parents, Jeff and Diana Mitchell, Marionville; one sister, Maycee Mitchell, Marionville,: fiance' Brandon Fulp, Marionville; and grandparents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at First Baptist Church, Crane, with Johnny Turnbull officiating. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery, north of Crane, under direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Larance Linn Mitchell
Larance Linn Mitchell, 67, Marionville, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, in his home. He was born Dec. 29, 1939, in Bradfield to John and Bertha (Wolf) Mitchell. He was a heavy equipment operator and a lifelong resident of the area. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include three sons, Rob and Jeff Mitchell, both of Marionville, and Lindell Mitchell, Seligman; one stepdaughter, Melissa White, Crane; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services were Saturday, Dec. 29, in Manlove-Stumpff Chapel, Crane, with the Rev. Tom Mitchell officiating. Cremation was under direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.
Betty M. (Loy) Moore

Betty M. (Loy) Moore, 80, Aurora, died Sunday, April 8 2007, at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora.
She was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Aurora to Gene and Reitha (Southworth) Loy. She married Don Moore in May 1946. He died May 9, 2000. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Moore Jr., Fort Collins, Colo., Richard Moore, Baltimore, Md., and John Moore, Kansas City; one daughter, Julie Moore, of the home; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, with the Rev. Melana Scruggs officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Aurora or the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Charlotte May Moore

Charlotte May Moore, 69, Aurora, formerly of Denver Colo., died at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Cox South, Springfield.
She was born May 3, 1939, in Lander, Wyo., to Margaret Eloise (Wroe) and Henry Riley Lockard Jr.
She married Carl Francis Moore Sept. 20, 1960, in Englewood, Colo. He died Dec. 24, 1981.
She was a 1957 graduate of Fremont county Vocational High School in Lander. She received her nursing license in 1960 from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Denver, and her master’s from the University of Phoenix in 1997 in Aurora, Colo. She worked as a nurse at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver for eight years and then taught in the education department for 30 years, retiring in 2004. She was the music director and taught Sunday school for many y ears at the church she attended in Colorado and attended the Aurora Baptist Temple while live in Aurora.
Survivors include twin sons Kevin Moore, Denver, and Kerry Moore, Monett; one sister, Helen Cowdin, Lander; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services were Monday, Feb. 2, in Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, with burial to be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Harmony House , in care of the funeral home.

Eunice McMahon Moore
Eunice McMahon Moore, 92, Marionville, formerly of Kansas City and Kimberling City, died Sunday, March 22, 2009, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville. She was born Oct. 7, 1916, to Melvin and Katie Simons near Warrensburg. She overcame polio at an early age and was baptised at New Bethel Baptist Church. She graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1935. She married Vernon McMahon in 1936, and lived in Sedalia until his death in 1944. She graduated from William Jewel College in Liberty in 1948. She was church secretary and educational director at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. In 1950, she married George Moore and began a career with Farmers Insurance Co., moving to Aurora, Ill., in 1954. Following his death, she retired and moved to Kimberling city in 1972. She was active in the Methodist Church. For the last 20 years she lived in the Ozarks Methodist Manor. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Chester Simons, and one great-grandson. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Reed, Raytown, and Cheryl Beabout, Kimberling City; seven grandchidren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services were Saturday, March 28, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Warrensburg. Memorial donations may be sent to Ozarks Methodist Manor, P.O. John Bonar Moore
John Bonar Moore, 88, Marionville, formerly of Verona, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville. Lenn Newman Moore

Lenn Newman Moore, 87, Aurora, died Tuesday, Feb. 20,. 2007.
He was born Aug. 31, 1919, to Champ Clark and Emma Florence Browning Moore near Verona.
He lived his entire life within a 12-mile radius of his birthplace. He lived the last 18 months at the Missouri Veterans’ Home/Mt. Vernon. He worked for Carnation Milk Company in Mt. Vernon for 38 years. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II in the European Theatre in Italy.
He was a member of the Aurora First Baptist Church for more than 55 years. Prior to moving his membership to Aurora, he was a member of the Mt. Vernon first Baptist Church and was a youth leader during that time.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Alverta Hendrix Moore; six children, Lois Moore Yancey, Garden City, S.C., Sherry Moore Hastings, Charlotte, N.C., Larry Ellis, Eufaula, Okla., David Ellis, Holiday Island, Ark., and Debra Ellis Wrinkle and Carol Moore Phipps, both of Aurora; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Services were Friday, Feb. 23, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora. Burial was in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, Mt. Vernon, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering or the Aurora First Baptist Youth Group.

William David "Coon" Morris
William David "Coon" Morris, 65, Marionville, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, in his home after a brief illness. He was born April 24, 1944, in Aurora to Raymond Theodore and Millie Gertrude Metcalf Morris. He graduated from Marionville High School with the Class of 1962. He married Georgia Carol Wilks Aug. 24, 1963, in Marionville. She died Oct. 15, 1996. He was a member of the Marionville First Baptist Church and was a cattleman. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one son, Blaine Morris, Marionville; one daughter, Dena Jenkins, Republic; two sisters, Phyllis Gold, Republic, and Sharon Hubbard, Houston, Texas; his companion and caregiver, Donna Kimberling, Marionville; and four grandchildren. Graveside services were Wednesday, July 29, in the Marionville IOOF Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Jones officiating, under direction of Williams Funeral Home Marionville. Alfred L. Morrison
Alfred L. Morrison, 70, Aurora, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at St. John's Springfield. He was born April 25, 1937, in Cedar Creek to Roy and Iva (Marler) Morrison. He was one of nine children. He lived in South Carolina for many years before moving back to Mt. Vernon, Marionville and finally Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Iva Morrison; three brothers, Garrett, Harvey and Herman; and four sisters,Thelma, Virginia, Juanita and Argie. Survivors include one sister, Margie Williams, Kirbyville. Graveside services were Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Brown Cemetery, Cedar Creek, with the Rev. Philip Coffelt officiating, under direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson.
Robert L. Murray
Robert L. Murray, 80, Aurora, died Monday, May 3, 2010, in Cox South, Springfield. He was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Aurora to Kenneth and Louise Crowell Murray. Survivors include one son, Nathan Murray, St. Louis; two daughters, Barbara Harris, Paisley, Fla., and Mitzi Brandy, Akon, S.C.; three brothers, Aaron White, Aurora, and Sammy White and Joanne Walker; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and special friend Wander. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under direction of Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora.
Tina Madewell, 50, Pierce City, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at her home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1959, in Monett to Andrew Jackson and Mary Delilia Hayes Holland.
She was a graduate of Pierce City High School and was employed at Ag Forte.
She married Terry Madewell July 3, 1977, in Aurora. He survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Teri Madewell, Pierce City; seven brothers, Harvey Holland, Don Holland, Tommy Holland, Bobby Holland and William Holland, all of Pierce City, Gene Holland, Wentworth, and James Holland, Washburn; three sisters, Marie Peterson, Omaha, Neb., and Glenna Mobley and Irene Wilson, both of Pierce City.
The body has been cremated. memorial services were Friday, Feb. 20, at Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City.
